About Me & How I Work
Are you experiencing anxiety, depression or work-related stress? Are you having relationship or family issues? Are you going through a challenging life transition? ...or perhaps you had a loss? Do you feel stuck? Whatever the issue you might have, talking to a therapist can help. Psychotherapy provides a unique place for you to explore your concerns, feelings, thoughts and behaviours with someone who helps you gain more insight into who you are, how you relate to people around you, and to life itself. Whilst working with individuals, couples and groups, both, short and long-term, I offer a safe, confidential and non-judgmental space where you can explore your difficulties with the aim of moving forward in your life. The therapeutic relationship is vital in providing both support and challenge in gaining understanding of the dynamics that you bring into relationships, both with yourself and others. I am a psychotherapist and counsellor in Transactional Analysis (TA), qualified as a Certified Transactional Analyst (CTA) with a MSc in TA Psychotherapy. As well as seeing clients in my private practice, I also work at the NHS as a counsellor. I am also a specialist mentor working with the students who are suffering from mental distress and disorder. I have experience in working with people from different cultural backgrounds, who have a variety of difficulties ranging from depression, anxiety, panic attacks, family issues, loss, identity crisis, relationship problems, sexual identity, trauma, and abuse. I understand and have experience of the personal and professional pressures, and, I have undertaken different forms of psychotherapy myself which has been critical to my development as a person and a therapist. In regard to working with couples, I welcome heteronormative and same-sex couples. I consider the relationship as a client. Together we explore your relationship while understanding and identifying familiar patterns between you, addressing the core issues so that you can move forward in the way that is right for both of you.
